Saffron at Katara! Amazing!

I would never be able to explain how I felt there, or describe the experience, but I say “Amazing food! Amazing experience!”

Went to Saffron on Saturday, they had weekend set-menus, so we went for the 5-course menu… It included samples of every part of India, North, South, East, and West…

It started with a cup of perfect tomato soup, yes, a cup!

Followed by an appetizer of different types including : A piece of minced lamb, prawn, chicken tikka, and an Indian mashed potato, all with different spices, herbs, sauces, and from different areas of India…

Then came the chicken biryani, with our choice of curries.

Last but not least, we got 3 different sweets.

We took our time to savor the experience, and it was better than ever expected.

Every item in the meal was explained to us as they set it, and we got some of many parts of their menu. It’s something I’d do again, and invite other people to.

p.s. @alsulaiti recognized me from my twitter avatar (my photo) it’s good to be known, seems I can be a celebrity.
p.p.s. I found a review while writing this, you can read that here
p.p.p.s The photo is unrelated to the restaurant 🙂

I agree! I love Saffron, arguably the best Indian food in Qatar.

I completely agree too! Saffron is fantastic! Honestly, the best Indian food my husband and I have ever had; I was so impressed, I bought the chef’s cookbook as soon as we got home!
